introduction
Anemia
Anemia is a medical condition characterized by a deficiency of red blood cells or hemoglobin in the bloodstream, leading to a reduced capacity of the blood to carry oxygen to body tissues. Hemoglobin, a crucial component of red blood cells, binds to oxygen and facilitates its transportation throughout the body. When there is an insufficient amount of hemoglobin, individuals with anemia may experience fatigue, weakness, and shortness of breath as their organs and tissues receive an inadequate oxygen supply. Anemia can result from various factors, including nutritional deficiencies (such as iron, vitamin B12, or folic acid), chronic diseases, genetic disorders, or certain medications.
